Hello everyone,
I've been out of pocket for a while. Been in the process of moving and are finally finished. At the moment, the bed from the guest bedroom at our other place is sitting in the living room in front of the television at the moment. So I can't watch T.V. but that's okay. There's too much to do to enjoy television. Between doing laundry, sorting through boxes to toss out stuff that we don't need, taking out the puppy to do her business and cooking. I've been quite busy. I actually got to cook for the first time last night on the new stove. Have to get used to electric cooktops instead of gas. But I think that I can live with it. Moved to a new church and the congregation is a lot smaller than I'm used to. Debating about whether I'm going to do Manassas Chorale again this year. We've moved up to Alexandria and it's going to be a lot further to drive. And I'm trying to find another job at the moment. In the perfect place to get some more job experience in my field of journalism. Not sure what I want to do, but I know I'll find something. Need to run. Think I'm going to take the puppy outside to do her buisness again. She likes being outside, that I can tell. Will write more when i have a chance. Bye for now.

Hello everyone,
I've been kind of busy lately because we're in the process of moving. I'm watching NASCAR on TNT at the moment while I get some more of the packing done. Have to use up the boxes we have before I go get more. Whee. I'm having to really pair down everything we have. The next place we're going is not quite as big as where we are now. And we've just started our puppy Lizzie, that you seen in the image, in beginning education classes at Petsmart. I was proud of her because she did pretty good on her first day. One thing she had problems with was the floor. It's linoleum and she was having trouble getting a grip on it. That was quite humorous to watch. She's already made friends with another female puppy in the class called Reeses, like Reese's peanut butter cups. They were checking each other out but Lizzie was not barking at the other dog too much. Lizzie is 9 months old and is a little ball of hyperactivity. But she's her own little entertainment package. Well, I actually need to get back to work. And time to watch the race. Bye for now.

P.S. Just found out, the computer is going down tomorrow. Hubby is taking his computer down tonight and mine goes down tomorrow. So I'll be losing the internet for a while. Not exactly sure when it will be up at the new place. Just keep an eye out for a new entry when we get moved.

Hello everyone,
Well, it's been a while since I posted so I thought I would give a update. Concert went great but lately I'm having allergy issues. Taking Allegra at the moment and it seems to be working. I find myself not reaching for the Kleenex quite as much as I have been, which I guess is a good sign. But I missed a couple of doses a while back and let's just say I payed the price for it big time. I'm finally over the worst of it, but I think I could use some flonase or something else to help me breathe a bit easier. Now I know how my mom feels when she has allergy problems. Ugh. First summer living in Virginia and it's been interesting. Two more summers to go. Whee!!! And onto other things..... Our interm minister at the church I go to had her last Sunday on the 11th. It was hard for everyone to say goodbye to her, but we have a new minister coming next month. And lots of construction going on over the summer. They're redoing the kitchen and it will take until July 7th to get it done. Can't wait to see what it is like when it is finished. We go to a summer schedule at church, so I get to go into church for a 10:00am service. Choir is also finished for the year until September. I am planning on taking a break from singing for a while. Going to help out with Vacation Bible School at the church next month. I'm looking forward to expanding all those young minds. It should be lots of fun. Well I don't know too much else. It's lunchtime here and I am now going to debate what I'm eating lunch. I am taking a break from doing some much needed cleaning on the bathroom in our master bedroom. Next project is to do some cleaning on the master bedroom itself. Also need to go check on the towels and put them in the dryer. Then this afternoon, walk the dog, workout at Curves, go get some greeting cards for various family members and one for my husband and I for our 3 year wedding anniversary. Also have to get some Father's Day cards. So I've got a busy afternoon ahead of me. Bye for now.

Hello everyone,
Hope things are going well. Did not realize that it has been so long since I posted. Been pretty busy. Between work, rehearsals and Choir practice on Wednesdays, I've not had much of a break. I find myself feeling a little tired. My weeks of singing have finally caught up with me. Thank goodness I happen to be heading to the doctor on Wednesday, so if my throat problems do not clear up, I'll see if there is anything that can be done to relieve the problems. I'm not running a fever or anything, so that's one thing that would be asked. I drank some strawberry flavored green tea this morning. May have some more in a little while to see if that helps too. Need to put on my makeup after while, not done that yet. Waiting for the mositurizer and daytime protection creme to soak in before I use them. But I find myself wondering if my voice is going to sound normal when I see people at work today or if it is going to sound off. It does feel a little raspy at some point, but I guess that is to be expected. Ugh. I'm listening to Diane Rehm show on WAMU.com at the moment. Got the weather radar going on the television with the mute button is on. Going to see if I can drink some hot tea while I'm at work. Although if she gets one listen to my voice, then I'm hoping she'll show some sympathy. I did get around to reading Dan Brown, "The DaVinci Code" and "Angels & Demons". And I loved both of the books. I had an extremely hard time putting the books down. I'm hoping that Bill and I can go see "The DaVinci Code" movie that has Tom Hanks in it. The movie looks wonderful and now that I've read the book, I want to see the movie that much more. Should be very interesting to watch. Don't know too much else. Going to drink some water and sit and work on the stamped cross stitch that I have started. Bye for now.

Well it's Thursday and here I sit. Getting ready to head to the grocery store for some items that are needed. Have to work today but thankfully not until 5pm. I'll be heading out about 4:30pm so that I'm there early to change shirts before work. It's Beach Week at work and we're allowed to wear things that are beachy feeling. Having a little trouble with this theme because I don't even own a Hawaiian print shirt. Besides they would not look good on me anyhow. Too much print does not look great. Still trying to clean on the house. Did manage to get the floor mopped yesterday. That was after running out of time for the previous couple of days. Have a little dusting to do on the second floor then I'm going to work on our bathroom again. The sink is getting dirty and I want it looking pristine when our friend comes to visit. I'm waiting on my husband to get the fourth floor in order so that I can go get that bathroom clean and put up the new shower curtain and candles I got for the second floor. Need to run. Have some grocery shopping to take care of. Bye for now.

Hello all,
Well it's the wee hours of Wednesday morning right now and I'm still up. About to remedy that in a short bit though. Had a fairly busy day yesterday. Went to Target yesterday before work because there were some things that I needed to get for the house. Then after that, grabbed some lunch from Subway which was a tuna salad salad. Really good and I needed to eat something besides more bread. Been trying to cut back on the bread intake anyway. Listening to 80's on Music Choice on Comcast digital cable. I love this, don't know why I lived without it in the first place. The whole music choice selection is awesome. But I digress.... Heading to bed because I've got some things that need to be done today before work. And besides, I have to workout before work starts today because I've got choir practice tonight at 7:30pm. Don't want to workout afterward. Well the bed is calling. Everyone have a great day today. Bye!!

Hello everyone,
Well it's Monday and a day off of work for me. Spent most of the day today cleaning. Worked mainly on the kitchen. Put another coat of teak oil on the table in the kitchen. Cleaned all the surfaces including the island. Only thing I left to do is clean the kitchen floor and I'm finished. Watching Weekend Warriors on HGTV at the moment. I do love watching home improvement shows they have such good ideas. Probably going to fix myself a bit of dinner here in a minute. Just trying to decide what I want to fix, though. Well I'll come up with something. Time to go do some eating then finish cleaning. Bye for now.

Hello everyone,
Hope things are going well. Anoher week has drawn to a close. It's also holy week at church. We have Good Friday services at the church but I cannot go tonight because I have to work. But I'll definitely be there on Sunday for Easter services though. Need to put the Easter cards in the mail, even though they'll not get there until after Easter. Well I tried, at least. I'm off tomorrow and I think the husband and I are going to head over the Container Store to get some stuff. I've just got to think of what I might need. In case we move, i want things that I can use somewhere else. Trying to get things under the sink organized a little better. Things just look kind of like a mess down there. Hope to get that remedied soon. Got to run. Need to put cards in mail, paint my nails and then head off to work later. Bye.

Hello everyone,
Hope things are going well. By the time this posts, it will be Thursday morning. It was a slow day at work today. Got some good news though, I'm getting a little bit of a pay raise. I'm going up to $7.50 an hour. I started at $7.00 an hour at first. I've been rewarded because of all the hard work I've been doing. That really made me feel good. We had a mandatory meeting at work tonight, which lasted the usual hour. Did not get back to the house until 10pm. Oh well, that's okay. Rehearsals for the Brahms are going well. We've been rehearsing from 7:30pm-9:30pm to try and get this music down. She told us the other night that we've gotten through about 80% of the music. That means we're not too far from getting it down. What will be interesting is when we finally get that first rehearsal with the Orchestra at Metz Middle School on May 2nd. Should be interesting to see how this goes. Hopefully we can both see eye to eye on when to come in and all. Can't wait. Well need to finish checking e-mail and then head to bed. Also have to finishing making sure that the numbers on the measures are right. Oh and good news, search for the black skirt is over. I found one at the Marshall's Outlet at Potomac Mills near the house. Found the skirt in the misses section. It was the second skirt I tried on. It's a pull on skirt with an elastic waistband. It's easy to get on and only cost $34.99. And also found a cute pair of black skorts in the petite section that only cost $21.99. Talk about some steals. So I don't have to worry about buying a skirt anymore. I can now relax about that. Get to wear the skirt at the concert on May 13th. Yeah. Need to run. Have to finish checking e-mails and then head to the bed. Got make sure that Bill gets up in time for work. Bye for now.

Tuesday, day off....

Hello everyone,
Well, I've got a day off of work. Wow, this is nice. Got things to do today. Have to make a phone call and get an eye appointment. As well as finding somewhere that Bill can rent a steam vacuum cleaner to get the carpet downstairs throughly cleaned. I have a feeling that it would be more expensive to hire a cleaning service. Save more money to do it ourselves. I also have to go to Target, Ulta (for hair products) and Fashion Bug to try and find a skirt for an upcoming concert in May. I hope to not spend alot of money on the skirt also. Have to wait and see what I find. Puppy is enjoying chewing a bone that she's been working on for a good week or more now. She decided the other morning that it was time to hop up on the bed and sleep with mommy. It was the first time she's done this too. I have to admit that I've never had a pet sleep in the bed with me before. This was interesting. Don't know too much else. Need to go and get some things done. Have rehearsal tonight from 7:30pm-9:30pm. Which means I won't be home until at least 10:00pm. Then I get up, work tomorrow from 5:00pm-8:00pm. Normally I have choir on Wednesday nights. Now, it looks like I'll be missing choir at least 1 Wednesday night next month. I really hate it, but there's nothing I can do. I love working at Curves, but I keep thinking I might want to get another job. I don't plan on working there for the rest of my life. But for now, it will do. At least until I find something else. I also have a Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure coming up on June 3, 2006. Plan on signing up soon. Or I'll go do one of those quick registration stops. Just have to look it up on their website. I have not done one of these in at least 3 years. I'm looking forward to the one here in D.C. From what I understand this one puts others I have been to to shame. Lots of free stuff, concert after the race. Party time!! This is going to be a blast. Time to go. Talk to everyone later.

Well another day is over. And at the moment, I'm feeling kind of sleepy. It was a kind of long day at work. I forgot my name tag at home. Had to use one of my co-workers that recently had to quit. Work went by at a usual pace. And we actually got out of there at reasonable hour for once. I'm excited though because I ordered a bunch of stuff recently. Should be here by Thursday or Friday. Whee!!! I have an absolutely adorable outfit that I ordered from the Curvaceous line. Hope it looks good. Well need to start getting ready for bed. Need to get some rest. Bye for now.

Hello everyone,
Yep, it'a another week of work coming up. Sorry I've not posted in a while. Been kind of busy. Right now I've got a bit of a stuffy nose. Ugh. I hate that. Going to probably have to take a Claritin in a little bit. See if that clears it up. And I have cleaning I need to do. What am I doing, sitting in front of the computer and typing in the blog. Oh well. It's a bit rainy at the moment. We have 2 townhouses for sale in the area right down our street. And a third one that had been under contract finally sold. Yeah. Don't know too much else. Time to think about a bite of lunch. later.
